Certified Site Supervisor

BSCAI's Certified Site Supervisor (CSS) designation is a symbol of leadership excellence in the building service contractors industry. Additional titles for a site supervisor include area manager, project manager, team lead, site manager and lead supervisor. From managing quality control to training new employees, the CSS designation is a highly valuable business tool to show the vast range of your day-to-day and big picture responsibilities.

Three simple steps towards receiving your CSS designation:

Step 1: Exams can be purchased as a single course or in bundles of 5, 10, 15 or 20 for your employees who are looking to advance their career within the industry. Not all exams need to be used at once (i.e.,  you can buy 10 exams and fill 5 for immediate use and 5 for later). Single purchase exams are $100 for members and $150 for non-members. If you purchase a single course, you will receive a confirmation email and an automated email from our online learning platform with a link to access the course. If you purchase any bundle, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to notify BSCAI HQ with your course information. Save more by purchasing multiple exams:

Step 2: Log on when you are ready to take the examination. The exam is comprised of 7 modules with a quiz at the end of each module (examinees do not need to have a proctor present.) The test taker will need to pass the quiz at the end of each module to continue on to the next. Results are generated automatically after each section and a certificate is generated for immediate download at the completion of the course. Modules include:

  • Volume 1 - Account Management
  • Volume 2 - Hiring & Firing
  • Volume 3 - Motivation & Training
  • Volume 4 - Personnel Policies
  • Volume 5 - Safety & Security
  • Volume 6 - Floor Care, Carpet Care, & Cleaning Chemicals
  • Volume 7 - General Office

Step 3: This is one time certification, and there is no need to renew the CSS certification. Once you pass, you are a Certified Site Supervisor for life!
