The BSCAI Vendor Advisory Council (VAC) brings together Associate members and BSCAI leadership to exchange insights, strengthen partnerships, and help shape opportunities that create greater value across the BSCAI community.
Representing partner companies, exhibitors, sponsors, manufacturers, technology providers, and other industry service organizations, council members share expertise and perspectives that help BSCAI remain responsive to industry needs, support innovation, and strengthen collaboration between building service contractors and the companies that serve them.
What the Council Does
The Vendor Advisory Council serves as a strategic connection between BSCAI’s Associate member community and the association’s volunteer and staff leadership. Council members provide practical insights and recommendations focused on:
- Enhancing Associate Member Value: Identifying new resources, benefits, programs, and engagement opportunities.
- Strengthening Partnerships: Building mutually beneficial relationships among BSCAI, building service contractors, and industry partners.
- Supporting Innovation: Sharing expertise, emerging trends, market intelligence, and solutions that can benefit members and advance the industry.
- Shaping Events and Programs: Providing input on education, sponsorships, exhibits, event experiences, and partnership opportunities.
- Increasing Engagement: Encouraging greater Associate member involvement in BSCAI programs, events, committees, and volunteer leadership.
Who Serves on the Council?
The council includes representatives from a diverse cross-section of BSCAI Associate member companies, including:
- Premier and Corporate Partners
- Exhibitors, sponsors, and advertisers
- Product manufacturers
- Technology and service providers
- Other organizations supporting the commercial cleaning industry
Members are selected through an application and nomination process designed to provide broad representation across industry sectors, company sizes, areas of expertise, and perspectives. BSCAI volunteer and staff leaders also participate to strengthen communication and connect council recommendations with the appropriate committees and decision-makers.
Council Member Expectations
Council members are expected to actively participate in meetings, provide candid and constructive feedback, share industry knowledge and market insights, represent the broader Associate member community, and serve as ambassadors for BSCAI.
Members serve two-year terms and may be considered for reappointment. Selection is based on each individual’s experience, perspective, engagement, and potential contributions to the council.
Meetings and Engagement
The Vendor Advisory Council meets quarterly, generally through:
- Two virtual meetings each year
- An in-person meeting during the BSCAI Executive Management Conference
- An in-person meeting during the BSCAI Contracting Success Conference
Additional discussions may be scheduled as needed. Council insights and recommendations are shared with the BSCAI Board of Directors and relevant committees for consideration and action.
Why the Vendor Advisory Council Matters
Associate members play an essential role in advancing the commercial cleaning industry. Their products, technologies, services, expertise, and investments help building service contractors improve operations, address emerging challenges, and prepare for the future.
The Vendor Advisory Council provides a direct channel for these perspectives to inform BSCAI’s programs, partnerships, events, and strategic priorities. By bringing together contractors, industry partners, volunteer leaders, and association staff, the council strengthens relationships and helps create greater value throughout the BSCAI community.
