Chuck Violand, Founder, Violand Management Associates
You followed your instincts, the advice of business experts, or a run of good luck, and you’ve grown your business to where things are running pretty well. Sales are up. Profits are healthy. Employment is steady. The business is operating without being dependent of you. Life is good. Now the question shifts from “how do I win at business?” to “how do I maintain this winning streak?” This subtle shift in mindset will determine the future of the company. It’s a question that affects the skills the owner has developed over the years as a business operator, how they view their role within the company, and effective outlets for their new-found time and energy. The good news is that most of the threats of maintaining winning streaks don’t come from outside your company. They’re self-inflicted, which means we can avoid them. This session explores six strategies leaders of successful businesses use to maintain winning streaks and stay at the top of their game. It also identifies several traps to help avoid them.
