Upcoming Webinars:
Safety – The New HAZCOM 2012 AKA Glabal Harmonization Systems (GHS) - Is it really that simple to be ready for 12/1/13?
Wednesday - May 22, 2013 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CST
This webinar will be presented by Bruce Donato, CSP, CHMM, CECD of K&A First Aid & Safety, LLC. In 2012, OSHA released the new Hazard Communication Standard (HAZCOM 2012) based on the European Global Harmonization System (GHS). Two new key changes include changing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) over to Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and a new labeling requirement. There are several key dates to phase in the new HAZCOM 2012. The first is just around the corner: December 1, 2013. All employees have to be trained in understanding the new SDS and GHS labels. While this may seem like a simple task, this course will outline the complexity of the changes. This will include how the hazard rating number system has been reversed, a discussion on the new pictograms, and how to categorize the hazard class associated with chemicals. This one-hour overview will let you know how you need to prepare for these changes. Registration fees: BSCAI members may register for $29 and non-BSCAI members may register for $99.

BSCAI Series: Business Valuation
Wednesday - October 23, 2013 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CST
Having a formal Business Valuation performed on a periodic basis is an excellent best practice for successful business owners. Business owners need valuations performed for a number of reasons including:
- Estimating value for partnership related agreements (i.e. buy-sell agreements)
- Gift taxation
- When a business is sold, purchase price allocation among business assets
- Divorce litigation
Aside from these specific events above, management 101 says, "you cannot manage what you cannot measure." Measuring the value of your business is a critical step towards increasing its value. This webinar will discuss why it's important to value your business, how valuations are performed through various methods including income, asset, and market approaches and how you can then use a business valuation as a tool to increase the value of your business. Presented by Mark Herbick. Registration fees: BSCAI members may register for $29 and non-BSCAI members may register for $99.
Registration coming soon.
